Once Upon Our Time
Our Story
The story of Book Ecke traces back to an earlier venture by our founder, Sati Siroda, who launched "Poulomi's Abode Masterworks (abbreviated as Masterworks)"—a creative services firm focused on content creation and digital marketing—from her modest condo on October 26, 2015. While pursuing a Master’s in Chemnitz, Germany, Sati sought to break free from the conventional expectations of a white-collar career, embracing the expansive realm of creativity. Following the release of her first book in 2017, what began as a passion for storytelling and creative expression transformed into a full-fledged literary commitment. "Masterworks" gradually expanded its scope to include books, paving the way for a significant transformation towards mindfulness books and beyond.
On a crisp September morning in 2022, as the autumn air began to whisper through the city, over a cup of freshly brewed coffee, amidst laughter and spirited discussions about the power of storytelling, our founder and her two closest allies—her husband, Asoka Siroda, and her best friend Megha Dukhande—envisioned a sanctuary for book lovers. Encouraged by her two allies, she chose the name “Book Ecke,” which translates to a cozy book corner. This vital decision led to the official launch of Book Ecke as a brand on September 15, 2022. It marked the complete transformation of Masterworks from its early stages, gradually evolving it into Book Ecke, step by step. This change was more than just a new name; it represented the creation of a new identity focused on the deep and meaningful world of books.

Sati Siroda founded Book Ecke with a simple belief: the right story can change a life. As an author, publisher, and lifelong learner, she creates mindfulness books that spark imagination, encourage self-discovery, and bring moments of calm to busy lives. Her work also embraces mindful living and herbal wisdom, helping readers reconnect with nature, well-being, and the simple practices that nourish body and mind.
Additionally, she is the founder of Ying Hua Forest, a mindfulness initiative by Book Ecke inspired by nature, reflection, and inner growth. Through mindful resources, gentle practices, and a growing global community, Ying Hua Forest encourages people to slow down, reconnect, and live with greater awareness.
Today, Book Ecke connects readers across the world through meaningful stories and creative services that support mindful living. Her mission remains unchanged—to plant stories like seeds, helping courage, kindness, and creativity grow one page at a time.
